Rod Brana

I started distance running consistently in April, 2005, when I joined a marathon training program for the Marine Corps.  In 2007, ARRC was formed and I became a mentor, training year around, and completed the RRCA coaching certification program.  I do 3-4 marathons a year, and other races.  I have completed over 14 marathons, including Boston, a 50+ miler trail run, a 200 mile relay, several half marathons, triathlons and other shorter races. When traveling, I make it a point to see a new place by going for runs.  Running is a source of joy and well-being, physically, mentally and socially. It is self-motivated: I set and compete with my own goals.
